About this course

This qualification is for participants who require skills to prepare for a vocational pathway qualification or further foundation skills development. 

This qualification has been tailored for the hospitality industry.

What you will learn

This qualification includes the following units of competency:

BSBWOR203 Work effectively with others
FSKLRG008 Use simple strategies for work-related learning
FSKNUM003 Use whole numbers and halves for work
FSKNUM008 Use whole numbers and simple fractions, decimals and percentages for work
FSKNUM009 Use familiar and simple metric measurements for work
FSKDIG001 Use digital technology for short and basic workplace tasks
FSKLRG004 Use short and simple strategies for work-related learning
FSKLRG008 Use simple strategies for work-related learning
FSKOCM003 Participate in familiar spoken interactions at work
FSKRDG004 Read and respond to short and simple workplace information
FSKWTG006 Write simple workplace information
SITHIND002 Source and use information on the hospitality industry

Entry Requirements

All participants must:

– Attend a pre-enrolment information session;
– Complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment;
– Have basic computer and internet skills.

Individuals with a disability are encouraged to apply.

Pathways

The following employment pathways may include:

– Bar or cafe attendant;
– Food and beverage attendant;
– Room attendant.

Further study pathways include:

– SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality
– FSK20119 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways

Note: This RTO may not offer all qualifications listed above as possible pathways.

Delivery

This qualification is delivered 5 days per week for 24 weeks from all campuses.

Government subsidised concession fee: $56.00*
Government subsidised tuition fee: $280.00*
