About this course

This course is designed to improve your employability skills with an accredited Career Practitioner by exploring the world of work and the opportunities that exist in the hospitality industry.

Our accredited hospitality trainer will provide you with essential skills from making espresso coffees, to learning the rules of serving alcohol and food safety regulations for working in any café, bar and restaurant

It is suited to participants commencing a career in the hospitality industry.

This course includes the following nationally accredited units of competency:
SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol^
SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety

Entry Requirements

All participants must:

– Be a minimum of 17 years of age (^ participants cannot work with or serve alcohol until 18 years of age);
– Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen;
– Not be attending school;
– Be able to read, understand and interpret written information.

Delivery

This course is delivered over 3 days per week for 4 weeks from all campuses. Sessions run Wednesday to Friday from 9:30am to 3:00pm.

Government subsidised concession fee: $16.00*
Government subsidised tuition fee: $80.00*
Materials fee: $30.00
