About this course
The Front of House course covers different aspects of customer service theory such as provide service to customers, selling techniques, time management and dealing with complaints.
What you will learn
The practical component covers:
– Greeting and seating customers,
– Understanding floor plans and cover numbers,
– greeting and seating customers,
– tray carrying techniques, three plates carrying technique,
– setting tables, taking orders,
– preparing and serving beverages, serve food,
– clearing and cleaning tables,
– presenting bill and farewell customers. All these tasks are known as “restaurant service cycle”.
Entry Requirements
All participants must:
– Be a minimum of 17 years of age^;
– Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen;
– Not be attending school;
– Be able to read, understand and interpret written information.
^Participants under 17 years of age can complete this course on a Fee for Service arrangement. Individuals with a disability are encouraged to apply.
Duration
1 day, 9.30am – 3pm
Delivery
This one-day course is delivered from our Rosebud, Hastings or Mornington campus. Sessions run from 9:30am to 3:00pm. Please visit our online course calendar to find out when and where the next course is being held.
Due to health and safety reasons, all student must wear enclosed shoes to this session.
